JOB PURPOSE
The incumbent is responsible to effectively and efficiently supervise, coordinate, troubleshoot, expedite and monitor the implementation/execution of all civil and structural related activities (e.g. site preparation, site construction, scaffolding, road works, drainage, sewage, plumbing and plant structure/building including jetty and Non-Process Buildings and facilities), general housekeeping and all other external services according to project specifications, statutory requirements and engineering best practices in order to achieve project targets for schedule, HSE, quality and budget.
The incumbent is responsible to effectively and efficiently supervise, coordinate, troubleshoot, expedite and monitor the implementation/execution of all civil and structural related activities (e.g. site preparation, site construction, scaffolding, road works, drainage, sewage, plumbing and plant structure/building including jetty and Non-Process Buildings and facilities), general housekeeping and all other external services according to project specifications, statutory requirements and engineering best practices in order to achieve project targets for schedule, HSE, quality and budget.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITY
1 Supervise, coordinate, troubleshoot, expedite and monitor contractors executing all the civil and structural related activities and other support activities to support overall TTM EVA Project in accordance with company's policies, procedures, work instruction, statutory requirements, and engineering best practices in order to achieve project targets.
2 Safe execution of all the civil and structural related activities and all external services by ensuring project works are carried out in accordance to PTS approved instructions, company procedures and work methods. In addition to assist in developing safety programs and enforcing safety regulation, safety procedures, conducting safety audit in order to achieve zero lost time accident I incident (LTI) in all wok activities.
3 Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Job Method Sheet (JMS) development, discussion with contractors and supervise, monitor and enforcement in the implementation of JSA and JMS.
4 Consult PTS and other relevant approved engineering practices for civil related modification works for project works.
5 Develop and implement quality awareness program among contractor's personnel, conduct on site quality audit and inspection and enforce quality procedures in order to ensure contractors delivers as per company requirement
6 Records and documentation of civil related and external services activities are properly documented into the project documentation system.
7 Implement and monitor the utilization of Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions and inspection checklist by contractor to ensure compliance to ISO requirement and best engineering practices.
8 Monitor and evaluate contractors' performance to ensure compliance to the contract requirements. Also maintain good working relationship with services providers/contractors and specialist for timely and successful completion of assigned tasks.
9 Facilitate and contribute towards department and company quality improvement projects by contributing comments, information, ideas, solutions and plan development and implementation for continuous improvement in related field within the area of responsibility to achieve project and company objectives.
MAJOR CHALLENGES
1 Fully conversant of oil, gas and petrochemical plant civil structure and experience in major facility construction works.
2 Experience in designing facility (road, substation, drainage system, foundation) required for TTM EVA Project.
3 Knowledge in civil and structural design code, engineering standards, quality system and safety standards.
4 Experience in supervising contractor to carry out value engineering and fit for purpose design to ensure technical and budget requirements are met within the context of TTM EVA Project.
